Engineer Abu Dekontee Sanso is the head of the Technical Regulation Unit of LERC. His core responsibilities are setting performance targets for licenses, monitoring and enforcing Licensee’s technical and environmental compliance within the Electricity Law, regulations, licensing terms and conditions, regulatory duties and functions that affect the quality, reliability and the supply of electricity in the industry.
He has 14 years of experience in the Energy Sector. Prior to joining LERC, he started his career as an ICT technician at the CELLCOM Telecommunication Incorporated (Liberia).
And later moved to the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) in 2006 where he served in various capacities including Operation Engineer Generation, Generation Manager, Acting Manager Transmission and Distribution, Director Generation and Acting Executive Director Generation.
Engineer Sanso holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Liberia and has over the years benefitted from numerous trainings in Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Project management and Leadership.
